About Us... 

Mary Quirk, Owner and Founder of Mary's A Basket Case, Inc., is a Boston College alumna.  Upon graduating from BC, Mary worked on campus as a function coordinator.  After 15 years, and her third child, she retired from BC to stay at home. 

Mary realized pretty quickly that she didn’t excel in the area of home-making.  Mary followed the advice of many and turned a gift basket making hobby into a business.  While a basket case long before 1998, this was the year that marked the beginning of Mary’s A Basket Case, which incorporated in 2001.

Mary is a life-long resident of Greater Boston.  She is a graduate of Cohasset High School, attended St. Anselm’s College, out of which she transferred into BC.  Currently, she resides and works in the City of Boston with her husband, Kevin, her three children – Michaela, Mary Kate & Kevin, Jr., - and her Shetland Sheepdog, Chase.
